Situated on a small low hill, the castle has a distinctive square design. Since old times, Masafi Castle has played a pivotal role as a trading hub, a connection between many cities and a refuge from floods due to its strategic location. Serving as a stronghold, it has defended the region against invaders and attackers for thousands of years, thanks to its exposed location on the hill and the courage of its original inhabitants who were entrusted with guarding the area from inside the castle.
